You may have heard about additional restrictions to be introduced by Lancaster City Council in response to rising numbers of cases of Covid-19 in the area. It is worth noting that the districts of Morecambe, Heysham, Overton, Bolton -le-Sands, Slyne, Hest Bank, Halton, Caton and Aughton all have a covid rate of 0-2 cases per 100,000 population. Allowing for statistical error this can effectively be read as zero. In fact, the additional measures seem to be a reaction to increases in the Marsh and Haverbreaks areas of Lancaster. We trust Lancaster City Council know what they’re doing.
At Briggs we treat the health and wellbeing of our customers as our utmost priority. We were praised by local authority inspectors for the measures taken to keep everyone safe.
We will ask you to sanitise your hands and wear a face covering. We do prevent overcrowding so you have plenty of room for social distancing. We will continue to provide nylon foot socks when trying on shoes and we may ask you to wait while we sanitise our fitting rooms between each customer.
So, other than that it’s business as usual here at Briggs where we have lots of lovely new Autumn goodies to give you a little spiritual lift in these strange times. And if you’re brave enough to still venture off on holiday we have lots of SALE sandals too.
Many of you are still to venture out so we still have free delivery on everything purchased from our website.
Until we see you next time keep well and stay safe. ❤
